What does supportive leadership mean?

If leadership is understood as a function and duty, the entire enterprise system can be caught in the reporting and control scenario. The focus on the customer is lost. Thinking up and down, thinking and doing are often separated. Employees become underage recipients of orders, whose motivation and commitment is worked on with leadership instruments.

Leadership in New Work equals empowerment and means above all support by removing barriers and providing access to resources and knowledge. Every employee can and may make a contribution and design and prioritise his or her work in line with customer needs.

This trust in the employees results in joint action at eye level.
